Both jams and margarine are affected by spoilage caused by molds. Especially for Butter and Margarine the more coarse and less stable emulsions may favor mold-spore germination. Spoilage of jams is usually caused by molds, mainly Eurotium species, although xerophilic Penicillia, especially Penicillium corylophilum, occur from time to time. Plantéria® BF is a product rich in naturally occuring sorbic acid that has shown activity against Yeasts and Molds.
FRUIT JAMS AND PRESERVES

BUTTER AND MAGARINE
0.1g/kg of Plantéria® BF can reduce Mold problems during distribution and consumer use.
